Chase DeCarlo

Hello! My name is Charles Thomas DeCarlo, but you can call me Chase. I am honored and excited to run for the position of 6th District Alderman in Savannah, GA. 

Our District currently suffers from a lack of vision and leadership necessary for progress. The citizens of the Southside are consistently being left out of the conversation regarding business development, city infrastructure, and resources necessary to provide the growing population living in our area of the city. With new vision and an ingrained passion for helping others, I feel that I can bring about the necessary and positive changes needed for our area and consequently, the city of Savannah.

I come from just across the river in Beaufort, South Carolina; consequently, I have a deep connection to this region. After graduating from Beaufort High School, I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship for a post-graduate year at Fork Union Military Academy. This experience instilled in me valuable leadership skills and a strong sense of discipline, which have been the foundation and guiding principles in my life leading me to pursue success.

After only a semester at Fork Union, I earned a full football scholarship to Georgia Southern University, where I was successful academically and athletically. I also gained much experience in growing personally.  As the football system and coaches changed at Georgia Southern, I transferred to California University of Pennsylvania, now PennWest University, earning another full scholarship to complete my under-graduate degree and begin my Master's in Health and Wellness.  Professionally now, I deal in the area of providing resources, equipment, and support in the areas of Diabetic Management, OBGYN, Wound Care, Home Health and Medical Supplies. 

I am driven by a personal goal to serve the community I now call home. The decision to run for the 6th District Alderman position on Savannah's City Council comes from the love of this part of the city, and the intolerance I have developed for the ineptitude demonstrated by elected leaders over the past four years.

My passion for the welfare of my fellow neighbors and city residents has always been unwavering. Savannah, especially the South Side, has suffered from the dysfunction and lack of vision demonstrated within the current City Council. I am dedicated to bringing about a much-needed change.

I will have a strong focus on advancing business interests and creating opportunities, My goal and vision for the South Side are rooted in tangible action rather than empty promises. I understand that the people of the community deserve authentic representation and a clear plan for progress. Campaign rhetoric without a solid vision and decisive action is simply an empty promise—one that that I refuse to allow.

By choosing me for Alderman, the residents of the 6th District can be confident that they are selecting a leader who will never fall short of his commitments. Unwavering dedication and a  strong work ethic will drive me to deliver tangible results. My determination to transform campaign promises into real action will ensure that the South Side receives the representation and vision it truly deserves.

With me as your Alderman, the South Side can expect a positive and prosperous future. My love for Savannah, when combined with my commitment to serving the community, makes me the best choice for the 6th District Alderman position.
